Shiru is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex De Los Reyes to the role of Marketing Manager.
Shiru’s mission is to feed people sustainably by leveraging machine learning and precision biology to identify and create ideal food proteins. As Shiru goes through rapid growth during the commercialization of its new ingredient discoveries, Alex’s marketing and product management experience will help scale the business and strengthen our brand and product portfolio.

Alex received her BS in Culinary Arts and Entrepreneurship at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, which gave her a unique understanding of the foundations of the food industry and the business world. Her prior experience includes marketing at Honeygrow and event planning at Drexel University. Recently Alex spent four years at Puratos, where she worked in both Europe and the US focusing on product management and health & well-being innovation.
Outside of work, you can find Alex cooking and hosting dinner parties with her friends and family, playing soccer, and hanging out with her cat Daffodil “Dill” Pickle.
